CATV Network

Televisa

About the Project

The CATV Network (Community Antenna Television) in Maputo is an essential infrastructure for the distribution of audiovisual content and integrated telecommunications services. This network, based on coaxial cable and hybrid fiber technology (HFC – Hybrid Fiber Coaxial), allows the transmission of cable television with high image and sound quality, as well as supporting complementary services such as broadband internet and telephony.

Since its implementation, CATV has played a key role in democratizing access to information and entertainment in Maputo. With progressively expanded coverage, this infrastructure allows thousands of families and companies to receive multiple national and international channels, with stability and less interference with conventional antennas.
